Alex Orton. Ian Buckingham and Gill Blanchard

Gill Blanchard is a historical biographer and writer of local histories as well as a professional genealogist and house historian. She has had three guides on Writing Your Family History, Tracing Your House History and Tracing Your East Anglian Ancestors published by Pen and Sword Books. The second edition of Tracing Your East Anglian Ancestors is scheduled for 2017.

Gill’s biography of scandal in a North Norfolk village in the 1830s will be published in 2016.

Gill is currently completing a MA in Biography and Creative Non Fiction in the world renowned school of Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. As part of this she is currently researching and writing a biography of a key parliamentarian figure in the English Civil War who helped change the course of history.

Gill is also preparing a biography of two eighteenth century sisters whose marriage connections put them at the heart of eighteenth-century society and politics. A local history and the tale of a local disaster are also in the research stage.
